Formulas for warming the interior

 Those kinds of formulas are composed of warm drugs for warming interior, restoring yang, dispelling cold and promoting blood circulation for the syndrome of interior cold syndrome. 

1.   Recipes for warming the middle -warmer to dispel cold  

This kind of formulas are composed of interior-warm drugs and spleen tonic drugs.

1.1 Bolus for regulating the function of middle-warmer (Lizhong Wan)

Ingredients:

Ginseng (Renshen) 90g

Dried Ginger (Ganjiang) 90g

Big-head atractylodes (Baishu) 90g

Prepared licorice (Gancao) 90g 

Function: Warming the middle-warmer to dispel cold and replenishing qi to invigorate the spleen

Indication: Deficiency of spleen and stomach manifested as abdominal cold pain, watery diarrhea, nausea, vomit, pale tongue with white fur, week and thin pulse   

1.2 Minor decoction for strengthening the middle-warmer (Xiao Jianzhong Tang)

Ingredients:

Peony root (Baishao) 18g

Cinnamon twig (Guizhi) 9g

Ginger (Shengjiang) 10g

Licorice (Gancao) 6g

Chinese dates (Dazao) 4

Malt extract (Yitang) 30g 

Function: Warming the middle-warmer, replenishing qi and relieving spasm and pain

Indication: Deficiency of spleen and stomach manifested as abdominal cold pain, pale tongue with white fur, week and thin pulse   

1.3 Decoction of evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu Tang)

Ingredients:

Evodia fruit (Wuzhuyu) 3g

Ginseng (Renshen) 6g

Chinese dates (Dazao) 4

Ginger (Shengjiang) 18g

Function: Warming the middle-warmer to dispel cold and replenishing qi to stopping vomiting 

Indication: Deficiency of spleen and stomach manifested as  vomit, pale tongue with white fur, week and thin pulse   

2. Recipes for recuperating depleted yang to rescue the patient from collapse 

This kind of formulas is composed of interior-warm drugs to warm the kidney and recuperate depleted yang rescuing the patient from collapse. 

Decoction for resuscitation (Sini Tang)

Ingredients:

Aconite (Fuzi) 9g

Dried Ginger (Ganjiang) 9g

Prepared licorice (Gancao)12g 

Function: Warming the spleen and kidney to recuperate depleted yang and rescue the patient from collapse

Indication: Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney manifested as cold limbs, intolerance to cold, abdominal cold pain, watery diarrhea, pale tongue with white fur, week and thin pulse   

3. Recipes for warming the channels to dispel cold 

This kind of formulas is composed of warm-channel drugs and drugs of promoting blood circulation.

Angelica decoction for restoring yang (Danggui Sini Tang)

Ingredients:

Angelica (Danggui) 9g

Peony root (Baishao) 9g

Cinnamon twig (Guizhi) 9g

Asarum (Xixin) 6g

Prepared licorice (Gancao) 6g 

Five-leaf akebia stem (Tongcao) 6g

Chinese dates (Dazao) 4

Function: Warming the channels to dispel cold and replenishing blood to promote the circulation 

Indication: Cold blocked the channels manifested as cold or even pain in the limbs, intolerance to cold,  abdominal cold pain,  pale tongue with white fur, week and thin pulse
