Chinese Medicine Lung Disorders In Chinese Medicine, Lung is in the chest and the main
functions are controlling the superficial (Biao) and
reparatory (Qi), as well as distributing the water.
Therefore the main causes of lung disorders are External Pathological
Factors (EPF) invading and the main disorder is the Qi reversed, such as cough
